We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to perform a range of accounting and clerical tasks related to the accounts payable function. The right candidate will be highly organized and deadline driven with a strong attention to detail. This position reports directly to the CFO.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Manage the AP e-mail inbox
• Match purchase orders and receipts to invoices
• Process invoices in Sage 300 for payment
• Prepare check-runs
• Initiate electronic payments
• Code credit card bills
• Address and respond to vendor inquiries
• File invoices
• Upload documents to vendor portals
• Reconcile vendor accounts
• E-mail customer invoices
• Work with other departments to investigate discrepancies and resolve issues
• Backup coverage for reception
• Provide administrative support to the Accounting Department

Experience/Requirements:

• High school diploma is required. Associate degree in accounting is preferred.
• Experience in the construction industry is a plus
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles
• Data entry skills and experience with an ERP system (Sage 300 CRE is a plus)
• Proficient Microsoft Office knowledge and skills
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Time management skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
