Position Summary
Under minimal supervision from the Business Manager, incumbent in this position performs para-professional and diverse tasks with the Department of Property and Facilities at LSU Health N.O. Incumbent’s primary responsibility is to provide coverage for the front desk with prompt and reliable customer service given to the university staff and public in a friendly and professional manner. Duties are complex and will be performed in accordance with Federal and State Laws, University Policies, LSU System Policies, Bylaws and Regulations of the LSU Board of Supervisors, Department of Labor and HIPP A requirements. Incumbent will maintain records of all leave, uniform distribution and construction projects. Professionalism and great customer service coupled with strong communication skills are essential for the position.

Ability to operate a computer keyboard and standard office equipment
Position requires prolonged periods of sitting and working in a smoke free environment
Normal or correctable vision and hearing
Normal motor skills and eye/hand coordination
Normal manual dexterity
Mental:
Ability to prioritize work in an environment which is at times, stressful and fast paced. Incumbent must possess good interpersonal skills and be sensitive, adaptable, professional and articulate when dealing with others. Incumbent will provide assistance in a professional and confidential manner regarding rules and regulations of the University.

Additional Position Information
LSU Health New Orleans Division of Facility Services is seeking motivated applicants for the position of Administrative Coordinator 2.

Starting rate of pay is dependent upon applicants’ experience. There is an additional $1 longevity Pay for hours worked only.

Duties include but not limited to:
  • Receive and process service requests
  • Answer main departmental phone line
  • Set up interviews for all shops when requested
  • Schedule service calls for contracted services
  • Purchase Office supplies
  • Create and maintain key orders
