Town & Country Club is a private social and golf club located on the bluffs of the Mississippi River, just ten minutes from both downtown St. Paul and Minneapolis. Member amenities include Golf, Tennis, Pool, and Fitness. Featuring five areas for member dining, banquet and meeting facilities, our club is a place for family and friends to assemble and where memories are made. POSITION SUMMARY

The Steward/Dishwasher will report to the Executive Chef and assist the Sous Chef. The candidate must be able to maintain a good working relationship and communicate effectively with co-workers and other club staff. This position will require frequent immersion of hands in water, working frequently in a hot and damp environment. This position includes (long periods of) climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling and repetitive motions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Wash all wares in dishwashing machine or by hand
• Maintain clean work area, utensils and equipment
• Polish all silverware, platters and chafing dishes
• Collect trash from kitchen areas; empties garbage barrels, wash and re-line with new bags
• Examine garbage for silverware, dishes, and glassware
• Wash and polish all stainless steel in kitchen, including shelves, dish cabinets, ice machines, coffee area, refrigerators and walk-in, etc
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors
• Store all dishes and other wares in proper areas
• Clean dish machine after each meal period
• Perform other tasks as assigned, including but not limited to assisting in food preparation, putting away deliveries, cleaning cookers, freezers, and store rooms

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to follow policies and procedures
• Previous country club experience a plus
• Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing
• Demonstrate good listening skills
• Bilingual is a plus
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
• Understand and carry out oral and written instructions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.50 - $16.00 per hour
