Responsibilities
- Total revenue management approach for all hotel revenue sectors, including spa
- Lead strategic planning and collaborates with all hotel commercial profit generation teams to drive incremental profit
- Create short and long-term forecasts to yield the best decisions on pricing and yielding tactics
- Monitor competitor rates, positioning, strategies and data; maintain understanding of the dynamics of the local market and demand generators, presenting appropriate action plans to management
- Monitor and communicate fluctuations in occupancy to operational departments so they can effectively manage staffing requirements and increase efficiency
- Analyze local events and activities and project the effect of opportunities they create
- Understand the macro and micro-economic variables affecting supply and demand in the local marketplace, and use this knowledge to create accurate operational and financial room revenue forecasts
- Perform unconstrained demand analysis to determine optimal business mix
- Direct and manage all channel distribution strategies
- Collaborate with Senior Sales Manager and Director of Special Events on all group and local catering business to achieve overall hotel revenue and profit goals
- At least two years of director-level revenue management hotel experience; independent, luxury or luxury-lifestyle hotels preferred
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality, accounting, or finance preferred
- Knowledge of revenue management concepts, tactics, and processes
- Skilled at maximizing revenue, controlling inventory, managing pricing and forecast strategies
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, including group presentations
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Advanced computer knowledge, revenue management systems, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook experience required
- Understanding of Desert Markets preferred (i.e. Palm Springs, Phoenix, Sedona, etc.)
