The Riverside County Fire Department Administrative Services - Purchasing division has an opportunity for a Buyer Assistant in Perris. The department is looking for someone with time management skills, and a strong desire to learn. This position with generate and review requisitions and standing purchase orders, as well as research and compare products, services, and vendors and their associated availability, quality, and cost for Department needs. The incumbent will utilize Procurement Services databases, review time frames, and assist other procurement professionals when necessary.
Competitive applicants will have strong computer skills (Word, Excel, and will possess experience creating requisitions, purchase orders, and setting up vendors. Also, experience working for a government agency, is highly desired.
