EVEN START CHILD CARE PROVIDERS WANTED

DO YOU: Enjoy a flexible schedule? Enjoy taking care of children? Prefer part-time hours?

Provide age-appropriate direct supervision, care and learning experiences for children during parent/guardian educational programs and trainings.

SCHEDULE:

1. Part-time: Monday-Thursday, 8:45-1:15pm

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Education: Required – High school diploma or equivalent

2. Experience: Required – At least one year providing supervision/care for children of varying ages.

3. Language: Required – English / Preferred – English and Spanish

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Provide childcare.
• Engage children in homework, if applicable.
• Establish a childcare routine for the children involved.
• Completes other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

1. Skilled at determining age-appropriate activities and learning experiences for a diverse age-range of children.

2. Skilled at supervising children of varying age ranges at one time.

3. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

4. Ability to get along with, motivate, and communicate with children ages newborn through 3 years.

5. Able to frequently communicate with children under supervision as well as with coworkers and parents/guardians and be able to exchange accurate information in all situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to routinely and repetitively position self and move about the workspace to successfully complete the required job functions of this position. Must be able to stand, reach, bend, stoop, kneel, crawl and crouch for extended periods. Occasionally be required to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
