The Cost and Inventory (CI) team within Corporate Accounting Office (CAO) is responsible of the design and execution of Intel's inventory processes. We are amid a tremendous amount of change and this role will play a big part into defining and designing the future state of how we operate within Cost and Inventory.

As we start Intel's biggest transformation into our IDM 2.0 Foundry model, the Corporate Accounting Office has set a Global Process Owner team within Cost and Inventory to identify and design the systems and process required to meet the new business needs.

The Business Process Owner (BPO) is a key role within the Cost and Inventory Global Process Owner Office (GPO) responsible for definition, design, implementation, and adoption of Cost and Inventory processes, systems, and policies for specific domain areas across the enterprise. The Business Process Owner is responsible for global process and systems standardization and optimization, and accelerating automation of specific domain areas in the Cost and Inventory function while developing a future vision.

The Operations Finance Business Process Owner will play a critical dedicated role in delivering the Cost and Inventory GPO's modernization vision and priorities as we transform the way we deliver information, building flexible solutions to support the business today and in the future.

Key responsibilities include, but will not be limited to:

  • Operations Finance Process Design: understands the end to end processes standards, data hierarchy, variations, pain points, systems, and control environment, and can translate this knowledge into deliverables and plans that meet objectives. Understands the as-is state, defines the desired to-be state and identifies process improvement opportunities to streamline, eliminate, standardize and automate process for specific domain areas within the Cost and Inventory function by aligning and collaborating closely with operations and other stakeholders to achieve desired end state. Goal would be to create and scale efficiency across the company.
  • Cost Strategy and Policy: develop solutions to move stakeholders closer to future state by defining objectives and standards for policy, processes, systems with an operational lens that will drive business insight and value.
  • Business Sensing: proactively tackling business challenges (e.g., Inventory Reserves) by building strong relationships with factory and business units to address via policy, system, management escalation.


Success in this role requires the following skills/expertise:

  • Problem-solving: identify core process breakdowns, analyze potential causes, prioritize pain points and identify options to implement the most effective solutions. Understand customer needs and innovate to serve and solve customer and business needs - rationalized for what is essential for the organization.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: deep understanding of Cost and Inventory subject matter along with Operation Finance supporting factories or business units to help identify pain points and critical needs.
  • Business Partnering: build strong relationships with stakeholders and operational teams to align priorities, synchronize process improvement plans, lead, and engage the right experts to design across functions, and influence recommended changes to optimize the end-to-end process.
  • Communication skills: effectively communicate across multiple stakeholders including Finance, Information Technology, Accounting, Audit, Legal, and other stakeholders. Skills to present concise and impactful messages to leaders.


Qualifications


Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree with 10+ years of experience in Finance.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience working closely with Cost and Inventory.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado, New York, Washington, California: $125,280.00-$200,080.00
  • Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience


Working Model


This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need. This role may also be available as our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
