We are a not-for-profit services Association focusing on mission driven initiatives, with a vision of building strong kids, strong families and strong communities throughout 7 Texas Counties. Our organization is home to the largest school age child care provider in Williamson County as well as health and fitness programs that improve the quality of life for over 45,000 members ranging from preschool through senior citizen.

The Custodian maintains overall cleanliness of facility in compliance with housekeeping checklist. Responsibilities will include attending women’s and family locker rooms.

Hours: Monday - Friday, Morning Shift.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Ensures Y is clean by completing all duties listed on the daily schedule and maintains upkeep of assigned area and equipment.
• May perform wet and dust mopping, dusting, trash removal, recycling, window washing, painting, vacuuming, seasonal activities including lawn care and cold weather precautions.
• Replaces soap, paper towels, and other supplies in dispensers.
• Operates related motorized and non-motorized equipment.
• Records and reports all needed repairs to Facilities Director.
• Ensures YMCA building and property is secure during shift and report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• May set up furniture for events.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. regularly; up to 50 lbs. occasionally with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Must be able to stand, crouch and bend over for long periods of time with or without reasonable accommodations.
• One year of similar experience preferred.
• Must complete CPR/ First Aid certification within 30 days of hire.
• Employment is contingent upon a successful completion of reference checks, a criminal history background check, sex offender check, and pre-employment drug screen.
