Position Highlights
- Member of the interdisciplinary and management team of the nursing center that directly supervises two or more members of the Social Services staff.
- Foster a climate, policies, and routines that enable patients/residents to maximize their individuality, independence, and dignity and the highest practical level of physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being and quality of life.
- Educate staff regarding the role of Social Services and the psychosocial needs of patients/residents and their families/significant others including the problems of aging and disability.
- Identify and monitor community changes and opportunities such as legislation, regulations, and programs that impact nursing home patients/residents.
