We are the largest professional pet sitting service in the north Oklahoma City area with over 17 years in business, and are bonded & insured. We proudly do not discriminate against any breed of any type of animal. Everyone's tastes regarding the pets they have is unique.

We are looking for persons with previous or current experience in animal care fields such as:

• Previous professional pet sitting experience (friends an family does not count)
• Rescue fosters or volunteers
• Vet techs or kennel techs, or
• Dog daycare/boarding facilities

MUST BE AT LEAST 21

AVAILABILITY: Open availability during the week from 7am-7pm

LOCATIONS:

• Specifically: Downtown, Del City, Midtown, Nichols Hills, The Village, North OKC, Edmond, Deer Creek, Surrey Hills, Yukon, Bethany
• Generally: All OKC Metro area north of I-40 (see our SERVICE AREA)

POSITION CONSIDERED:

• Independent Contractor and will receive a 1099 at the end of the year.
• No taxes deducted from pay.
• No mileage or gas reimbursement.
• Supplemental income only (However, the more open a contractor's availability, the more sitting jobs will be offered.)
• Recurring Service - anywhere from 1-5 visits per week.
• Vacation Service for our Recurring Service clients only. There will most likely be some weekends, holidays, spring and fall breaks, OU/TX weekend, etc.

COMPENSATION STARTS AT:

• $20.00 for a 60-minute visit for first pet plus $.50 per pet cared for within that 60-minute visit.
• $15.00 for a 45-minute visit for first pet plus $.50 per pet cared for within that 45-minute visit.
• $10.00 for a 30-minute visit for first pet plus $.50 per pet cared for within that 30-minute visit.

RECURRING SERVICE TIME REQUIREMENTS:

• Visits are from 7am-10pm any given day but in time blocks or time frames that the client can choose
• For existing clients, Overnights are 12-hour per night or 9-hour per night, depending on client's request
• For existing clients on vacation, major holiday availability is mandatory for all sitters - we work when they go away!

RECURRING SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Visits vary based on clients' requests
• Visit clients' pets in their own homes for varying lengths of time (minimum is 30 minutes, 45 minutes and/or 60 minutes each)
• Walk dogs, potty breaks, walk and feed, feed and potty, litter scooping, complete litter box changes, administer medications and more as requested by client
• Feed and water pets as requested by client
• Make sure no damage is caused by pets in the absence of their owners
• Appropriate pet clean-up as required by client or if the pet has an accident in the home
• Communicate with management if issue/s arise during visits

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• MUST BE AT LEAST 21
• MUST LIVE WITHIN OUR SERVICE AREA (see our SERVICE AREA)
• Must have your own, reliable and insured transportation
• Must have a smart phone as well as a tablet, laptop or computer
• Willing to do visits in up to a 10-mile radius from your home
• Must be extremely detail oriented
• Able to follow detailed client instructions
• Must be responsible, reliable, dependable and follow through with commitments
• Must be timely and punctual
• Must be able to self-manage
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be passionate about and compassionate towards animals
• Must feel comfortable working with and interacting with both small and large animals
• Must be able to pass a thorough criminal background check
• Agree become Pet CPR/First Aid Certified at next available class taught at a Carey Pet sponsored class
