Embroidery Machine Operator

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyze and understand project specifications and clients' needs before starting each embroidery project

• Select the thread, fabric hoops and designs appropriate to each project

• Set up and monitor machine operation while supervising the embroidery process

• Notify supervisor if something is questionable and you need a second opinion

• Perform regular machine and inventory inspections and report any issues or reorder stock as required

• Provide suggestions regarding the design, placement, fabric and thread suggestion

• Keep track of multiple orders and deadlines

• Communicate with staff and ensure that all orders are sent out in a timely manner

• Upload designs and information into the operating system.

• Keep detailed notes for repeatability purposes.

• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

• High school diploma

• Ability to work as a team player

• Attention to detail

• Self-motivated

• Intermediate computer skills (e-mail, Microsoft, and various software programs)

• Ability to multitask and work under pressure

• Ability to stand for long periods of time

• Preferred knowledge of working with .dst files and CorelDRAW and Illustrator programs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
