DAY-TO-DAY AS AN EMPLOYMENT COORDINATOR

This full-time vocational rehabilitation team member position with our human services nonprofit works during regular business hours.

As an Employment Coordinator, you get to establish trust and rapport with program participants. Your days in this vocational rehabilitation role are filled with conducting comprehensive intakes to help participants understand their needs, strengths, interests, aptitudes, experience, and capabilities. Plus, you get to partner with them to develop a Family Contract Amendment (FCA) that outlines their employment and other goals that align with their skills, interests, and preferences. And don't forget about building effective partnerships with external providers to ensure participants have access to needed services and support. While working in this job placement position, you utilize your excellent communication skills, and you're ready to use them to help participants achieve their career goals!

In this job placement specialist role, you're a master of record-keeping! You know that maintaining exceptional documentation of all communication and contact with participants and external partners in FedcapCARES is essential. You're also the go-to person for making requests for needed support services like childcare, transportation, educational services, and more to the Office of Family Independence (OFI) Support Services Unit. And, of course, you uphold all agency policies and expectations like a pro while in this vocational rehabilitation team role. You're a data-driven person who uses information from FedcapCARES reports to plan your daily and weekly tasks.

At our human services nonprofit, we know your job placement role is vital in ensuring participants are clear on their TANF and program requirements. You get to meet with participants on your caseload regularly, at least once a month, to document progress toward goals and provide ongoing orientation. You're also the person who secures releases and builds effective communication with your participant's medical, behavioral health, and other providers. REQUIREMENTS FOR AN EMPLOYMENT COORDINATOR

  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience
  • Covid-19 vaccination
  • Valid driver's license
