EMR Clinical Analyst

Shifts: Full time (1.0, Monday – Friday, days, remote/hybrid option once fully trained)

Duties: Is an expert in the use of health information technology or data and information sciences applied to clinical care and health care business operations.Demonstrates masterful knowledge of health system structure and operations, information and communication technologies, clinical care, and the intersection of these different domains. Will utilize informatics concepts, methods, and tools to promote safe and effective use of technologies by helping, troubleshooting, education and project management when called upon. Applies their broad knowledge of healthcare processes to manage and communicate data, information, knowledge and wisdom in clinical practice and health care operations while remaining focused on the interaction of people, processes and technology for the complete and accurate delivery of information needed for efficient, high quality and safe patient care. Will partner with information services medical director, IS department, clinical and operational colleagues to assess, plan, and evaluate changes to systems and can identify the impact of changes and design new clinical workflows to ensure OMC follows evidence-based practices, meet regulatory requirements, and optimize system use, while providing exemplary customer service.

Requirements: Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of formal education and experience. Three or more years working in health care setting with direct patient care. RN or BS/BA degree in health care related field preferred. Five or more years working in the areas of abstraction/registry, data/information analytics, report writing, and/or information management preferred but not required. Athena experience preferred. Must be self-motivated.
