Your Job:
The Epic Care Link System Analyst is a highly technical, fast-paced, and challenging position. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide the very best care for our patients. The Epic Care Link System Analyst supports the functionality of Epic Care Link modules for Methodist outpatient community offices.

This position requires extensive knowledge of Epic Care Link application build/maintenance. It is an application analyst of system functionality.
Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related specialty, and/or equivalent experience/training.
  • Epic Care Link Certification and/or Accreditation/Proficiency is required
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally, and in writing with various levels of staff.
  • Ability to work as a team player
  • Ability to work independently
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Work closely with public; ability to retain composure, interact with tact
  • Work Experience: 1+ years
  • Works with confidential patient information
Job Roles

  • Create and maintain application build for the Epic System.
  • Investigates and resolves issues that may arise with Epic Care Link
  • Communicates progress to the affected users routinely. Fields questions from physicians and staff on the use of Epic Care Link as well as collecting feedback on changes needed
  • Implementing new functionality within the Epic Care Link module
  • Stays abreast of functionality improvements in new versions and testing during upgrades; on an ongoing basis, takes advantage of available resources to improve knowledge and understanding of the system.
  • Tests new releases and applies specialized knowledge and experience to the process to ensure that version upgrades function smoothly
  • Plan, design, test, implement, support, and maintain functionality related to Epic Care Link
  • Create, test, and document new build, workflows, changes, etc.
  • Assist other application teams in development features that involve Epic Care Link functionality
  • Assist in all upgrade/updates, NOVA note build, testing, and demos of new features
  • Manage Epic Care Link project requests and project scoping if needed
  • Manage support through help desk tickets, phone calls, emails, etc.
  • Attend Stakeholder meetings as requested
  • Always look for ways to improve the patient/customer experience
  • Take initiative for your professional growth
