Job description

We are seeking an Event Chefs And Servers (On Call, Part Time) to join our team! It's an on-call position, meaning you are hired whenever we have events. Our events are mostly on Saturdays and some night times during weekdays. The events are held in greater Los Angeles Area (including Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Downtown, Palos Verdes, San Diego, etc.).

Event Chef Responsibilities:

  • Maintain all equipment in a proper operational condition and cleanliness
  • Follow proper handling and right temperature of all food products
  • Serves food and beverages to guests.
  • Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures; follows HACCP standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Ensures proper food preparation by following approved recipes and production standards.
  • Prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards.
  • Ensure knowledge of menu and all food products

Event Server Responsibilities:

  • Greet every guest with a smile and positive attitude
  • Ensure proper set-up of tables in assigned section.
  • Inspect linen, silver, china, and other items prior to using them.
  • Check food prior to serving; ensure presentation and temperature is in accordance with company standards.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests, refills beverages as needed.
  • Create luxury for all the senses by serving guests at the event in accordance with company standards.
  • Clean banquet area during and after events, if so assigned
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A valid driver's license may be required. Must possess or able to obtain a valid food handler's permit.
  • Must have a reliable method of transportation, valid license and clean driving record.
  • Chefs must have some experience working in the catering kitchens, prep, kitchens, or restaurants.
  • Must have a passion for food and know how to properly season food while making large quantities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Be on time, every time.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for long time.
  • Must be able to work as an independent contractor in the state of California.
