The Regional Executive Chef Specialist will support our senior living communities across the portfolio in Southern CA.

Ideal candidate will reside in SoCal.

Travel:
Must be willing to travel 100% of the time within the States of California. Travel assignments may be for extended periods of time and may frequently change; flexibility and availability are required.

We are looking to enhance our Front of the house program by adding to our incredible Culinary Regional team!

We are currently seeking a Regional Executive Chef Specialist to support our communities in California. This amazing opportunity will serve the best in senior living culinary services under the direction of the VP of Culinary Services. The Regional Executive Chef Specialist will travel throughout the region to assigned communities to support culinary services on a weekly, monthly, or extended period. This position will provide direct support for vacant or new Executive Chefs and will maintain scheduling, ordering, financials, staffing, hiring, and other tasks related to the excellent service and management of the culinary operation.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred a minimum of 3 years or more as an Executive Chef or equivalent.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. College courses or other education in foodservice and/or management preferred.
  • Pass a DOJ Criminal Background Check.
  • Have a reliable form of transportation.
  • Have experience in and/or ability to learn the practices of assisted living and senior care.
  • Must exhibit outstanding leadership and communication skills.
  • Able to adapt and respond to change, criticism, and stressful situations in a positive manner.
  • Be highly motivated and able to work independently.
  • Be able to make decisions, prioritize tasks and projects, and maintain excellent time management skills.
  • Must exhibit clear knowledge and understanding of budgeting, food cost, labor, scheduling, ordering, and HR/hiring.
  • Must have well-rounded skills in cooking and be able to adapt to multiple types of resident demographics. Be willing and flexible and maintain satisfaction with all guests and residents.
  • Strong ability to organize and execute events and catering.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative manner with all persons involved in each assignment, including community Chefs, Co- Chef Specialists, VP of Culinary Services, and other Oakmont Management Group directors.
  • Exhibit clear understanding and use of all current Oakmont Culinary Standards, procedures, and policies.
  • Maintain an energetic, flexible, and positive demeanor and be capable of managing diverse personalities.
  • Utilize necessary computer skills, including proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other online ordering applications.
  • Maintain a current ServSafe Manager certificate and exhibit a clear understanding of procedures to maintain the highest level of cleanliness and sanitation and the ability to get others motivated to do the same.
  • Willingness to learn.
