Job description
Looking for a hard-working self-starter to manage and operate a well-established restaurant farm. Candidates should have strong horticultural/agricultural back rounds and be capable of handling all of the duties and requirements of operating a small farm. These duties include (but are not limited to) seasonal planning, planting crops, germinating seeds, installing irrigation, operating a hydroponic greenhouse (lettuces), caring for goats and chickens, harvesting crops, mulching, composting, fertilizing/amending soil, general maintenance, cleaning, mowing grass, and delivering produce to the restaurant. All applicants must be able to handle the physical nature of the work including heavy lifting, prolonged bending and kneeling, and working in the heat of the summer. Mandolin is a well-established, contemporary Southern restaurant with an impeccable reputation. Our food is fresh, seasonal and made from scratch with love. We also own and operate a small farm that supplies the restaurant with produce, herbs, eggs, and flowers.
Pay: $45000 - $50000 / year
