Join our team as a Field Service Technician to help drive our customer service goals and objectives in the field.


The Field Service Technician will spend about 75% of their time in the West Jordan warehouse and 25% of their time traveling to customer sites throughout Utah and southern Idaho. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Field Heavy Equipment service and support, have a commitment to safety and desire to provide first class customer service.


What you’ll be doing -

  • Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures, including maintaining a clean, organized work area free from safety issues and concerns.
  • Utilize a variety of techniques and tools to inspect, assess, diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic malfunctions on a variety of heavy equipment applications
  • Maintain accurate reports and information on equipment and repairs to ensure accurate billing and service logs
  • Tests mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturer’s specifications
  • Utilize great technical skill to perform hydraulic and electronic tests, also using VCAD's computer programming for diagnostics and parameter settings.
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform preventative maintenance work on equipment and vehicles
  • Keeps abreast of all changes in various models of equipment sold and serviced by the distributors
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What you’ll need to succeed -

  • High school diploma required, trade school (2 year degree) or other related experience in a heavy equipment capacity preferred
  • Experience in crushing, screening, composting, and yellow iron industry experience
  • Proficient utilizing computers, including Microsoft products, Smartphone and iPad
  • This position requires sitting, stooping, kneeling, pushing, climbing, moving, and reaching overhead and working overhead.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. and work inside and outdoors in various climates, temperatures, and/or adverse conditions.
  • This position is exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, electrical systems, hazardous materials, fumes, airborne particles, and moderate noise levels. Appropriate PPE gear must be worn as required.
  • Must have valid Driver's License and a clean MVR (this job does NOT require a Class A CDL).
