Here at A Step Up Career Academy Center, we are looking to hire 1 Floater/Teacher Assistants for our daycare facility. Candidates will be working with the ages of 6 weeks old to 12 years old. Candidates must have at least 1 year of work experience in a Child Care Center.

Please read the qualifications below:

- Candidate will be floating from classrooms to provide coverage when a teacher is absent or has planned vacation days.

- Candidate will also assist the classrooms that only have 1 teacher.

- Candidate should have experience in working with children from 6 weeks to 12 years old.

-Candidate will be fully trained in all 7 classrooms.

- Experienced in planning creative activities for school age children (enjoys playing outdoor sports with children: basketball, soccer, and softball); homework assistance; tutoring; classroom management, and open to a flexible work schedule.

- Experienced in nurturing children and excellent communication skills with parents.

-Must be able to interact with different age groups.

-Must be able to change diapers and potty train.

- Must be sensitive and mature individual who is able to relate well to both children and adults

- Must be able to adapt to change.

- Must be able to meet DCFS requirements.

- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

- Teachers must have at least 30 college credit hours with six (2 classes) of them being in early childhood education or child development or working towards obtaining an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education.

- The position is PERMANENT with full-time work hours.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.50 - $14.50 per hour
