Responsible for implementing software applications in the organization, including the ongoing maintenances and upgrades of existing various business systems. Act as the primary resource to supervise and maintain the organization’s ERP systems through implementation best practices. This includes supporting, installing, configuring, patching, upgrading, and maintaining the company’s investments in the chosen ERP technologies. With experience this role is anticipated to grow into planning and coordinating the change management process required to support the systems necessary for business operations. This individual will develop and apply communication and problem-solving skills to solve issues related to the deployment of mission-critical software and business applications.

Primary Functions:

• Analyze business practices and develop solutions to problems

• Develops and produces high quality requirement specifications that enable the development of a functional design.

• Works with users and/or ERP Systems Analysts to validate requirements and executes thorough functional test plans to ensure that ERP system changes are working properly, existing processes remain unaffected and the needs of the users are met.

• Develop an understanding of ERP system tools and how to resolve technical issues with those tools.

• Provides new and innovative alternative solutions to ERP system and application challenges.

• Support a global ERP implementation

• Troubleshoot technical issues and identify modifications needed in existing applications to meet changing user requirements.

• Maintain business critical applications

• Manage security role modifications, reports, forms and setups in the enterprise system, which do not require technical development expertise.

• Participate in the lifecycle of modifications with the developer.

• Develop business usage test scripts across the AX modules and perform user testing.

• Work closely with developer and the end user to formulate new business processes within ERP

• Develop an understanding of manufacturing and lean processes to execute some of the functional specifications

Secondary Functions:

• Evaluate and installs patches, and resolves server software related problems

• Participate in Disaster Recovery Plan for application systems

• Remotely manage applications and systems in various facilities around the globe

• Assist in the management of system backups and recoveries

• Assist in the management of Windows client patches and updates

• Coordinate closely with Global Network & Database Administrators

• Coordinate closely with Global IT Support Manager and IT Support resources on new software and server deployments

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science/Information Technology related field is preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered, we are willing to train and develop the right candidate.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 3-4 years of Information Technology experience in manufacturing company preferred.

• Proven deep experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 / D365

• Working knowledge of X++ and/or SSRS will be a tremendous advantage.

• Works when expected and contributes best efforts towards the timely completion of work assignments. On call/Off hours may be required.

• Good understanding and some experience with Microsoft SQL/Relational Database technology

• Good working knowledge skills with Microsoft Office products.

• Technical experience with systems, databases, and user support.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Experience in the development and implementation of standards, procedures and guidelines.

• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities

• Willingness to work occasionally outside of normal business hours.

• A results-oriented individual who thrives working in a fast paced environment.

• Firm understanding of Windows Server environment

• General understanding of WAN/LAN concepts and terminology

• Experience, knowledge or exposure to Lean principles and techniques is a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Must be able to stand or sit for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. Must be able to use keyboard, answer and use phones, and read from a monitor screen. Must be able to operate motor vehicle for visits with product vendors.
