The Graphic Designer Global Communications will develop consistent brand representation across all Goodyear internal/external communication channels - Aligning closely with community engagement (as needed). This position must be able to translate client needs and communication strategies into clear design execution - Delivering on multi-channel campaigns. The incumbent should be able to articulate and pitch design concepts with audience understanding and knowledge of the business. He/She will collaborate with stakeholders to design high-quality visual concepts across a variety of programs and mediums (including digital/social, video, PowerPoint (PPT), Word, inDesign and more).

Job Functions

• Proactively work with Global Communication clients/team members to develop engaging and functional graphics for internal/external use in web, social media, digital signage and print applications (including stand-alone images and infographics).
• Collaborate with directors, managers and executive-level clients to deliver high-quality design concepts and art direction for multichannel campaigns.
• Illustrate concepts by designing rough layouts of art and copy to present to clients for review.
• Complete design projects (coordinating with Global Communication team members, Creative Services, Information Technology [IT] and outside agencies) as required.
• Ensures project timeliness, quality and client satisfaction activities.
• Work through client revisions and requests in a positive/flexible manner.
• Obtain approval of proposed concepts and finalize project materials for distribution.
• Create, schedule and publish content for global digital signs.
• Manage internal global sign request system and coordinate global digital sign editorial calendar.
• Support development of clear processes for project requests, workflow and scheduling processing.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communication Design, Graphic Design, Visual Design or a related field
• 5 or more years of experience in Design/Marketing/Communications
• Strong understanding of how visual design contributes to overall brand identity
• Familiarity with leading graphics industry trends, applications, etc.
• Ability to use both Macintosh and personal computer (PC)
• Proficient in various software packages (including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite, Publisher, Adobe Creative Suite-Photoshop, Light room, illustrator, InDesign and Premiere Pro)

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Communication Design, Graphic Design, Visual Design or a related field

Knowledge/Skills

• Strategic/Creative vision and ability to articulate design concepts
• Ability to be nimble and work in a fast-paced setting that requires multitasking and organizational ability
• Must have above average computer and software skills
• Must understand graphic file formats (.eps, .tiff, .jpg, etc.) and know when to use (depending on the project and the Pantone Color Matching systems, proportional scale tools, etc.)
• Customer-focused attitude, with flexibility in approach and attention to detail
