Summa Rehab Hospital is seeking a Housekeeper to join our team!

Full Time and PRN available!

Full-time; non-exempt; 32 hours/week

• 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.; variable schedule; every other weekend required; holiday rotation required

PRN; non-exempt; hours based on staffing need

• PRN Housekeeping staff must schedule to work a minimum of 16 hours in a four (4) week time schedule. A weekend shift must be included in the minimum required hours. All Per Diem employees must give availability for one holiday per year.
• 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.; weekday & weekend availability desired

Summa Rehab Hospital, a joint venture between Summa Health System and Vibra Healthcare, is a new state of the art 60-bed rehab facility. Job Summary:

The Housekeeper is responsible for performing a variety of cleaning duties to ensure the hospital physical environment meets established standards for cleanliness and sanitation, and meets all infection control and safety standards for the facility. This includes, but is not limited to, maintaining the cleanliness of the floors and furniture using a variety of cleaning equipment and chemicals.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two (2) years of experience as a housekeeper in lieu of education with be considered.
• Verbal ability to communicate effectively with hospital staff required.
• Must be able to write and understand written instructions.

Additional Qualifications/Skills:

• One (1) year of housekeeping experience preferred.
• Previous healthcare housekeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to project a professional image.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
• Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.

Per Federal Health Care Worker Vaccine Requirements, all employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or be approved for a valid religious or medical exemption. Anyone hired by the company must provide proof of their COVID-19 vaccine before they can begin employment or request and be approved for a valid religious or medical exemption. Unvaccinated employees on an approved exemption must submit to weekly COVID-19 testing and wear a respirator at all times while in the facility. Some states and locations require increased frequency testing pursuant to state regulations.
