Job Description


Summary:
Implements and administers policies relating to all phases of human resource activities, including recruitment and selection, policy/practices, discipline, personnel issues, payroll processing, training and development, benefit administration, FMLA, Workman’s compensation, and OSHA tracking and reporting.


Essential Job Functions
:

  • Assists in administration of compensation program; monitors/coordinates performance appraisal process
  • Recruitment for hourly positions (job fairs, ad placement, etc.)
  • Conduct onboarding and new hire orientations
  • May process payroll and any related reporting
  • EEO-1 Reporting & VOE completion
  • Write work instructions /procedures/update & develop job descriptions
  • Maintain employee files
  • Participation in policy development and recommendations
  • Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as FMLA, compensation, and resolve any issues that may arise
  • Helps to monitor the organizations culture so that it supports the attainment of the company’s goals
  • Governs benefit programs such as health, dental, vision, supplemental, 401k, vacation, and FMLA
  • Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration rules and regulations. Maintain 300 Logs.
  • Manage and respond to workers compensation claims and UIA claims
  • Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews behind separations if needed
  • May act as a back up to the HR Manager as needed

Requirements: Competency: Bachelor’s degree plus, 1+ years of HR experience

Minimum travel is required.
