MPL Laboratories/EMSL Analytical, Inc. is currently seeking a Full Time Laboratory Support Assistant I for its location in Sparta, NJ. This position reports to the Assistant Group Leader of Laboratory Services.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Prepare media, plates and broths in the sample prep process.
Remove expired laboratory stock.
Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
Assist with restocking supplies in laboratory.
Support laboratory cleanliness by cleaning autoclaves, stove tops, benches, performing all phases of glassware washing and waste disposal.
Conduct end-of-day Spor Kelnz TRU spraying of laboratory areas.
Perform all phases of quality control- will train.
Execute daily performance checks for all equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Associates Degree/certification in related scientific/medical program a plus.
Microbiology laboratory experience a plus.
Candidate must be able to distinguish colors in order to perform analysis.
Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Must have math aptitude for calculations.
Must have good data entry and computer skills.
Must be able to work independently and with a team.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.

Available Shifts:
Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
