Job description

The Maintenance Mechanic will plan, layout, install and repair all CNC and manual machines with excellent efficiency and workmanship. This position requires the capability to read, understand, and perform to Standard Work Instructions.

Job Duties

  • Be aware of and honor company safety procedures and standards to insure individual and collective safety, in addition to avoiding unnecessary risk to oneself, co-workers, contractors, customers, and property. Be a stand for safety having the courage to call forth and report unsafe practices.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

  • Maintain preventative maintenance program in line with standard work.

  • Prepare and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, or layouts.

  • Lead installation, removal, or movement of equipment.

  • Prepare and interpret hydraulic and pneumatic schematics or layouts.

  • Troubleshoot, disassemble, and determine extent of repairs necessary.

  • Perform Lock Out/Tag Out procedures when working on a machine

  • Demonstrates excellence in completion of all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education Requirements / Certifications

  • Minimum 3 years of building and machine maintenance experience

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

  • Ability to work with minimum supervision with a strong sense of urgency

  • Excellent knowledge of CNC and manual machines and equipment

  • Capable of performing repairs on building or machines

  • Capable of reading and interpreting prints and wiring diagrams

  • Good knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic circuits, and heating/cooling systems

  • Excellent past work record (performance, attendance and attitude)

  • Must have own tools and measuring devices

  • Trade school certification in related field preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs.
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to climb a ladder
  • Ability to kneel, bend and work in restricted spaces, sometimes at uncomfortable angles
  • Works within a manufacturing environment, with exposure to noise, heat, cold, fumes, and chemicals
  • Ability to work in high elevations, i.e. scissor lift.
