Mountain Vista Medical Center is a 178-bed, state-of-the-art hospital located in east Mesa, Arizona, offering comprehensive health care services, including emergency care, heart care, advanced surgical procedures, orthopedics, breast care, maternity care, and women’s services. Florence Hospital, a campus of Mountain View Medical Center, is a 36-bed hospital offering emergency care, as well as surgical, imaging and laboratory services to residents of Pinal County. Full Time schedule working 40 hours weekly, shifts Mon-Fri (no weekend or holiday shifts)

Be a part of creating something new as we build our System Preadmission department servicing surgical and procedural patients providing superior customer service. This position will require self-motivation, strong communication skills and critical thinking.

Summary

The Medical Assistant in the Pre-Admission Testing department assists nursing service personnel with a variety of clerical duties for the surgical patient, I.E. calling offices for test results, organization, frequent communication via phone. Ordering and stocking of forms and supplies, maintain department supplies and equipment, to include maintenance and repair services, rooming patients, taking vital signs, and phlebotomy.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent, Post High School vocational / specialized training preferred.

One (1) year experience in hospital preferred.

Preferred candidate will have prior experience working in a hospital setting. Prior surgical services experience highly preferred.

Strong customer service, organizational and phone skills required.

BLS certification Required
