Helping Hearts is seeking dependable, compassionate people that love to serve others. We at Touching Hearts provide non-medical care to seniors in their homes or living facilities. The primary function of a Caregiver is to assist the client with companionship, meal preparation, laundry and light housekeeping.

Hours are flexible! Join us in our mission to help aging adults remain independent.

Companionship

Provide respectful, friendly interactions. Assist with hobbies/crafts as requested by the Client. To accommodate any reading or writing activities needed or requested. To demonstrate appropriate Caregiver services when assisting in social and/or entertaining activities.

Light Housekeeping

Monitor home and assist client with arrangements for maintenance needs, Examples:

• Kitchen: Dishes for 1-2 people, clean counters, sweep/vacuum floor, mop/wash floor, take out garbage, clean refrigerator, wipe down stove/microwave etc.
• Bathroom: Clean tub, sink, toilet, wash/vacuum floor.
• Living Room: Dust furniture, dust/vacuum floor, tidy area.
• Bedrooms: Making beds, change linens, dust furniture, vacuum floors, tidy areas.
• Other: Errands and transportation arrangements as outlined in Client’s Plan of Care.

Meal Preparation

Provide assistance with grocery shopping, meal planning, preparation of snacks/meals, and encourage fluids.

OUR REQUIREMENTS

• Reliable vehicle
• Current MN driver's license
• Up-to-date automobile insurance
• At least 18 years old
• Possess good communication skills

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
