Position

• This position will be based out of our in Orem, UT, office and require 100% travel. The current project ranges from Vernal, UT to Mona UT.

• Submit QA/QC forms as completing field inspections. QA/QC reports include activities regarding foundations, steel towers, and conductor installation.
• Create, update and maintain the project submittal log and all other project-specific quality control reports.
• Review drawings and submittals for conformance with project specifications by direct review and by leveraging the knowledge and experience of others in the project team when necessary.
• Notify crew foreman of QC discrepancies, as needed.
• Provide daily QC reports that reinforce activities that are being constructed in conformance with each specific project's established standard and constructively confronts non-conformances to produce the desired outcome in a timely manner.
• Conduct preparatory, initial, and follow-up meetings to establish an understanding of the standards of care desired for each definable feature of work.
• Verify and document that all materials received for the project are in conformance with the approved submittal, are handled and stored appropriately, and are acceptable for use in the project.
• Coordinate and document the testing and commissioning of building systems.
• Perform quality control testing and inspection in adherence with contract requirements and company best practices.
• Coordinate with Project Manager, Material Manager, QA/QC manager. Help assist in various tasks as needed. Help with office tasks when required.

Requirements

• Preferred experience in the construction or inspection of 345kV or higher transmission lines (Foundations, Steel Erection, Conductor Inspection and Sagging).
• Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred – Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, etc.
• Certifications preferred – ACI concrete testing.
• Other preferred skills – Experience using survey equipment.
• Willingness to travel long-term
• Familiar with industry construction practices and Owner’s construction standards
• Must pass mandatory drug and alcohol screening(s)
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, ProTraq (Survey123).
• Good written and oral communication
