The Division of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Education and Training is seeking an OSH Partnership Administrator in the Partnership Program Branch. This position is the administrator of all aspects of the Construction Partnership Program (CPP). Provides consultative, training and technical services as needed.

Duties of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Coordinates all aspects of the program(s) by overseeing the day-to-day operations of the program(s) and works directly with the OSH staff and Program Manager in the implementation of t e program objectives, staying within and complying with program policies and procedures.
  • Serves as a team leader and develops and assigns work for assigned employees.
  • Evaluates and analyzes industrial safety and health operations in the workplace involving highly complex technical and operational matters/issues relative to safety and health interventions.
  • Writes detailed reports, instructive and effective action plans and recommendations for program project participation in the workplace as well as beneficial corrective measures in the workplace. Participates in the advancement of division goals and objectives as set forth in the OSH Program Strategic Plan. Provides technical assistance to staff, employers and provides abatement assistance as needed.
  • Conducts and participates in training sessions, conferences and seminars with Labor management and staff to keep apprised of the latest technology. Analyzes needs, performs research, develops and assembles training materials such as pamphlets and booklets. Represents the Education and Labor Cabinet at Regional conferences.
  • Evaluates, researches and makes recommendations for company partnerships to Director for approval/disapproval of division purchases, invoices and contracts. Analyzes monthly fiscal reports and maintains a system of comparison. Ensures program is following state and federal mandates.

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree or an associate degree in occupational safety and health, industrial technology, loss prevention, industrial hygiene, environmental health, engineering technology or a related field.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Five years of experience in occupational safety and health, safety training, or a related field.

Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE

Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Additional experience in occupational safety and health, Voluntary Protection Partnership, Construction Partnership Programs, Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Programs, or Safety Partnership Program on- site interventions will substitute for the educational requirements on a year-for- year basis.

Working Conditions
Working conditions vary based on the facilities where evaluations are performed. Travel is required to make physical inspections of business establishments.
Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
