Job description
Rome Health is seeking a Peer Advocate for the Community Recovery Center. Life experience with substance use and someone who uses their experiential knowledge to support the recovery goals of individuals would be the best fit for this position. The Peer advocate would support services that are patient centered. The primary function of a Certified Recovery Peer Advocate is to facilitate outreach with individuals who are currently in a program or considering engaging in treatment.
Peer Advocates can provide an array of services to treatment program participants including but not limited to:
- Engaging with an individual that is considering entering treatment.
- Engaging a client to attend treatment.
- Developing recovery plans.
- Facilitate non- clinical peer support groups.
- Assisting with applying for benefits.
- Linking participants to formal recovery supports.
- Engaging an individual in continuing care services post discharge.
This is a full time position. You will report to the clinical supervisor.
Qualifications:
CRPA or provisional CRPA with full CRPA to be attained within NYS Certification Board requirements.
You must have received both of your COVID - 19 vaccines and be prepared to receive your booster vaccine.
