Adult Outpatient Programs provide the least restrictive level of care where adults may receive clinical interventions aimed at decreasing existing signs and symptoms. Outpatient treatment focuses on recovery, problem resolution, symptom reduction, stabilization and/or prevention of movement to a higher level of care. Treatment varies widely and depends upon the consumer’s presenting symptoms.

Responsibilities

Supervises Nurse Team Leader
  • Ensures nursing staff follows established AltaPointe methadone pharmacy regulations
  • Ensures training of nursing staff on pharmacy software updates
  • Assists in selection of nursing staff and approve changes in personnel action
Supervision and Consultation
  • Seeks supervision and consultation as needed
  • Accepts and employs suggestions for improvement
  • Actively works to enhance skills
Record Keeping
  • Documents in a timely fashion and per AltaPointe policy
  • Documentation shows that forms, note, logs and other applicable written information are completed promptly, accurately and updated when appropriate
  • Documents legibly
Courteous and respectful attitudes towards consumers, visitors and co-workers
  • Treats consumers with care, dignity and compassion
  • Respects consumer’s privacy and confidentiality
  • Is pleasant and cooperative with others
  • Assists consumers and visitors as needed
  • Personal values don’t inhibit ability to relate and care for others
  • Is sensitive o the consumer’s need’s, expectations and individual differences
  • Is gentle and calm with consumers and families
Administrative and Other Related Duties as Assigned
  • Actively participates in Performance Improvement activities
  • Actively participates in AltaPointe committees as required
  • Completes assigned tasks in a timely manner
  • Follows AltaPointe policies and procedures
  • Attends required in-service training and other workshops

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited school of pharmacy; possession of a license to practice pharmacy in the state of Alabama; two years experience in the practice of pharmacy.
  • Knowledge of psychiatric disorders
  • Knowledge of pharmacy standards and protocols
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology
  • Knowledge of Cultural Diversity
  • Knowledge of psychopharmacology and the use of psychotropic medications
