We are seeking an individual who has experience supporting overall fundraising efforts in a non-profit Development/Philanthropy/Advancement department.

Essential Functions:

  • Donor Administration
  • Maintain and develop professional relationships with donors, and any affiliated family foundations and associated personnel.
  • Work in partnership with Philanthropy team to solicit donors, restaurants, companies, etc. for donations, in-kind donations, sponsorships, and auction items.
  • Oversee production of quarterly philanthropic newsletter for Ambassador Families and Major Donors with support from the Philanthropy team and Marketing.
  • Develop communication pieces for Philanthropy, such as fliers, brochures, etc. in partnership with Marketing and Philanthropy teams.
  • Attend events and activities involving major donors.
  • Develop grant materials including research profiles, copywriting, collecting budget information, and generating reports.
  • Oversee the maintenance of Philanthropy webpage, web-based newsletters, blogs, etc. with support from Marketing and Philanthropy teams, ensuring all links and donation forms are updated and active.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Blackbaud, with data management and reporting tasks.
  • Support Philanthropy team as needed, inclusive of special projects as assigned by Senior Manager, Philanthropy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Preferred of 2-3 years of Development or Philanthropy experience.
  • Experience working with grants research, proposals, and reports.
  • Experience with donor databases, Blackbaud, Raiser’s Edge preferred.
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented.
  • Timeline oriented and sensitive to deadlines.
  • Comfortable with multi-tasking, and flexible.
  • Must be willing to assist with activities that take place at night or on weekends.
  • Offsite travel is required, including to meetings, events, etc.
  • Must be sensitive and committed to donor and patient confidentiality.
  • Must be a self-starter and work in a dynamic fundraising setting.
  • Confidence and skill handling clients in person and on the phone.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent proficiency with Google G Suite, MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Google Docs.
