We are seeking a Practice Experience Manager to join our team and work with 9-12 Alcon Account Managers throughout Washington and surrounding areas. This role will be entrusted to partner consultatively with Eye Care Practitioners (ECPs) to achieve our mutually aligned and developed goals for growth, patient engagement, and outcomes. Focus areas will include practice training and skills’ development, patient journey development to achieve growth objectives in the areas of our advanced products and solutions as well as driving a novel digital business innovation.

A typical day in this role will include
Working with counterparts and practices in a consultative capacity to increase sales, generate profit and exceed annual corporate and District financial objectives by focusing on practice building techniques and executional capabilities. Responsibilities to include mutual goal setting, account based planning, in-office trainings, execution of broad spectrum meetings, enhancing executional excellence and promoting our products and services. You will align with Alcon Account Managers and customers, using a consultative sales approach, to match our products and services to doctor and patient needs. This role will also be responsible for qualifying and prioritizing leads generated from aligned Account Managers to further promote, install, train, and embed digitalization for ECPs and their patients. The intent of this role is to further “activate” our brands within practices which have already aligned with each brand’s value proposition to take them further than they can go if left to their own devices.
  • Working with internal partners to identify the highest potential customers to grow the business within the Vision Care product portfolio
  • In concert with their Alcon counterparts and their target accounts, building and implementing account level business plans for mutual success with doctor, patient, and Alcon that meet and exceed co-developed SMART objectives
  • Strategically leading prioritization of time and resource allocation to increase targeting impact and return on investment for new technology launches across all territories
  • Planning and implementing pre-booked calls to be completed 3-4 days/week
  • Growing sales by shifting provider behaviors and driving ECP/practice change initiatives
  • Promoting, installing, and embedding new digital health solutions with identified practices
  • Implementing marketing activities and promotions to continue to grow sales
  • Through teamwork, planning, and prioritization; developing a highly structured District plan and strategy to increase overall market penetration by working with most impactful practices using specific solutions developed to grow sales through behavioral change, while demonstrating effective ability to hold others accountable for team results without direct authority
  • Participating in and networking with customers at conventions, educational events, etc. as the need arises
  • Scheduling and implementing in-office and out of office trainings and meetings
  • Participating in District/Regional/National meetings
  • Leading and prioritizing time to most optimally achieve business results
  • Administrative responsibilities: including completion of expense reports, email/voicemail communications, call reporting, event planning, and strategic planning

Travel Requirements: Up to 60% within the Districts. 2-3 nights of overnight travel per week.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+6 yrs; M.S.)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • 2 Years of Relevant Experience

Preferred skills and experence:
  • Preferred consultative selling experience in medical device sales, medical sales, or business to business sales
  • Strong technical product knowledge and strong digital technology knowledge
  • This position is a field sales position that does require travel throughout the Washington and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will live within the territory, preferably the greater Seattle area.
