Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for a Screen Press Associate to join our production team. As a part of the Press Team, you will work with the Press Team to produce premium-quality printed garments. The Press Associate is responsible for various tasks ranging from monitoring and troubleshooting the printing process, triaging and cleaning squeegees and screens, mixing and replacing inks, and pulling, catching, stacking, counting, and quality control apparel.

In addition, Press Associates assist the press team with the setup and breakdown of work orders and the cleaning of press machines while staying on schedule, meeting daily production quotas, and maintaining safe and clean stations.

The ideal Press Associate has a keen eye for detail, performs at high company standards, and has a clear understanding of quality control. We are willing to train the right candidate with a dependable and strong work ethic.

What is Expected From You:

  • Review work orders to determine setup specifications and special instructions
  • Assure images are registered correctly before and during production
  • Follow all standard operating procedures
  • Set up screens and inks according to work order specifications and produce test prints for graphic approval.
  • Prepare machines for printing.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot the printing process (ink levels, blowouts, screen issues, etc.) Ensuring machines never go down.
  • Verify the number of units and garments are arranged correctly and verify logo placement.
  • Responsible for the quality control of screens
  • Unload garments & ensure appropriate dryer settings based on fabric types.
  • Inspect the quality of finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Perform press clean-up, maintenance, and troubleshooting on the machine.
  • Perform end-of-day protocols, equipment and stations are clean and shut down at the end of the shift
  • Review new techniques regarding ink, treatments, and new products on the market.
  • Aid other departments during lulls in your day.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Punctual and reliable attendance. Dependable and strong work ethic
  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • Hands-on experience with excellent quality control
  • Basic Match skills
  • Natural 20/20 vision or with vision assistive tools (i.e. glasses or contact lenses)
  • Must be able to decipher all colors and color tones for color accuracy
  • Exhibit excellent verbal communication skills and work as a team member
  • Exceptional attention to detail and reliable work practices are a must
  • Enthusiastic, positive person who embraces work with a sense of urgency and persistence
  • Must have reliable transportation

Preferred Experience

  • Prefer 2+ years of related experience as a Screen Press Associate
  • Prefer 1+ year of hands-on experience with Plastisol inks, primary colors, and identifying and mixing colors
  • Prefer 1+ year of hands-on experience with the burning, cleaning, and reclaiming of screens

Requires the ability to:

  • Demonstrate integrity and honesty in daily duties
  • Must traverse the production facility and maintain stamina for up to eight hours a day of physical labor.
  • Tolerate hot and cold warehouse environments and varying noise levels
  • Must be able to decipher all colors for color mixing.
  • Communicate effectively and work as a team member
  • Read and understand work instructions
  • Handle several projects simultaneously
  • Frequently perform duties with little or no supervision
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds at a time.
  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
