Overview:

RMD Group is seeking an experienced Safe, Professional Event Driver Class A to transport equipment and trailers to event locations in multiple local Counties. Driver will manage entire set up at events. In addition, drivers will assist in the warehouse performing various duties including vehicle maintenance and care, as well as other needed tasks.

As a Driver, you’ll have the opportunity to work on projects that include brand and Events for highly visible companies across a wide variety of Campaigns. The perfect candidate will work at both strategic and operational levels, supporting annual business plans and regional brand objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Drivers will assist in the warehouse performing various duties including vehicle maintenance and care, as well as other needed tasks.

• Perform pre-trip inspections check on all units driven to identify and repair minor faults, and to report major mechanical breakdown to a skilled mechanic.

• Maintain all vehicle trip, fuel and IFTA logs as required by DOT

• Maintain a logbook to record miles covered and hours travelled and ensure all necessary documentation with freight is filled and submitted.

• Manage and execute end-to-end logistics for operation of the event vehicle; including, but not limited to driving, vehicle staging, set-up/tear-down.

• Manage display vehicle transportation, provide on-site operational support.

• Provide Set-up/tear-down guidance in the absence of management.

• Meet customers service expectations in communication, problem resolution and appropriate follow through.

• Report any delays that may affect the timely delivery of freight to account manager and client.

• Report any accident incurred in the course of transporting the freight to account manager immediately.

• Position may include other duties as determined by the company

Qualifications:

• Must possess a Class A License, maintain DOT requirements of license, and maintain a clean driving record.

• Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

• Must submit to Federal Pull Notices.

• Ability to operate hand trucks/Pallet jacks

• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and technical issues

• In-depth Knowledge of routes within the region is very important as the driver is expected plan trips and chart shorter routes before embarking on any journey to shorten delivery time

• Expansive knowledge of road signs and safety procedures is expected of the driver

• Must reside in the regional proximity to Long Beach Warehouse.

• Ability to work beyond a 40-hours work week when needed

• Ability to travel and be OTR up to 2 weeks (based on event schedules)

• Must be able to lift at minimum 50 LBS

Pay Range: $64,480-$100,000 yearly DOE

Ability to stand, reach, stoop, pull, push, crouch and walk up to 100% of shift
