Quality Control Specialist

This is an in-person job in Sandpoint Idaho.

The QC Specialist ensures product quality by physically checking orders for quality prior to shipment. Other responsibilities relate to company compliance in the areas of product quality and environmental regulations and programs such as Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Industry Best Manufacturing Practices.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to industry quality standards
• Ensures that products meets customer expectations
• Executes quality assurance testing and activities
• Has ownership of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) programs
• Has the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external personnel
• Has the ability and willingness to train and develop personnel
• Has the ability to keep meticulous records

Qualifications

• Must be able to use computers and generate reports
• HACCP Certification preferred, but may be earned on the job
• Ability to produce good customer facing and management facing work
• Sharp attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Great team player with the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Able to sit, stand and walk around for hours at a time

Work Environment

This position works on-site at our mill in Sandpoint, Idaho. We process cedar and other wood products in this facility and dust and sawdust will be present in some areas. The person in this position will walk for 20% of the time, stand for 20% of the time, and sit for 60% of the time.
