We believe that the days are numbered for the antiquated model of “pay on terms” retail, soon to be replaced with Thatch’s technology driven “vendor managed inventory” and “split pay” retail.

We are looking for a rockstar in-house Senior Front End Web Developer to build world changing scalable code. You will be building on the “shoulders of giants” to bring this SaaS software to market. You are mission driven and take extreme ownership over everything you do. You will collaborate closely with backend software engineers and product managers to find the best solution for our mission. Your code is easy to read, well-tested, and drives best practices on the team. Your documentation is clear and concise. You value good-faith collaboration and having excellent relationships with our partner teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES*

  • Actively participate in daily stand-ups and other scrum ceremonies.
  • Design new solutions and drive alignment across engineering and product teams.
  • Break down project work into tasks with reasonable time estimates.
  • Prioritize work within a project to deliver on the most necessary or urgent requirements.
  • Communicate with team members on progress.
  • Write code to implement new features or optimize existing services.
  • Determine the most efficient means to sufficiently test new code: unit tests, integration tests, performance tests, etc.
  • Use logs, monitoring tools, and work with developers to determine root causes across distributed components.
  • Perform code reviews for members of the team, bearing a sense of responsibility for approved code.
  • Mentor team members in areas of expertise. Help to onboard new team members.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • 5+ years of related experience crafting and operating front end services.
  • 2+ Years experience with Angular 2.0+ and/or React
  • Demonstrated knowledge of AGILE/Scrum practices.
  • Highly skilled with modern development technologies: HTML, CSS, ES6, Angular 2.0+, React, and Typescript used to design, deliver, debug, and maintain front-end user interfaces.
  • Recognized as a technical leader on your team for several years and have an impact beyond your team.
  • Passionate about setting standard methodologies and raising the bar for testing, code quality, and maintainability - not only for the team but for the entire engineering organization.
