Your Team

Do you want to use your full stack development skills to make a difference in the world of Cardiology? Do you want to work with leadership that has effectively taken several medical device startups to business and clinical success? Bardy Diagnostics is an exciting, fast growing organization within Baxter with a unique and compelling product looking for the right Senior Full Stack Engineer to help us achieve our mission!

Join a multi-skilled team dedicated to developing innovative wearable cardiac arrhythmia monitors and associated cloud-based software. In this role, you'll work in a small and dedicated team passionate about the development of these products. The ideal candidate will be motivated by the unique challenges and opportunities of a fast-growing medical device organization, by solving sophisticated technical problems, and have a penchant for continuous improvement and engineering excellence.

What you'll be doing

  • Model, design, and build secure and reliable backends systems enhancing speed and scale.
  • Develop RESTful API based architecture.
  • Work together with the development team to develop quality, testable applications based on product and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead projects with minimal guidance.
  • Contribute to a collaborative environment helping to establish lean but effective software practices.
  • Deliver high quality and timely results to meet the business needs.
  • Design and coding practices consistent with security and regulatory standards.

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent field with 7+ years of proven experience designing and developing web applications.
  • Experience as a full stack engineer who can comfortably move between the front and back end.
  • Emphasis on designing and building backend systems and RESTful APIs and building systems at scale.
  • Solid understanding of database technologies including SQL/MSSQL, Cosmos DB, and Azure storage tables.
  • Ability to design data models supporting long-term binary data collection for AI applications.
  • Excellent coding skills and strong proficiency in web technologies, with an emphasis in JavaScript web development in Azure.
  • Proven design and programming fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with configuration management and issue tracking.
  • Medical device experience is preferred.
  • Experience developing to any of HITRUST, HIPAA, SOC2, SOX, PCI standards is also preferred.
  • Familiarity with C# .NET and Python desired.
  • Experience working with AI applications is also desired.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a base salary range of $68,000 to $156,000 plus an annual incentive bonus. The above range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
