Get to Know This Role
The Service Desk Specialist 1 performs technical work associated with supporting and maintaining virtual desktop infrastructure, desktop computer systems, networking and other related equipment, including software applications. Reporting to the Service Desk Supervisor, this position resolves brewery wide technical issues. The Service Desk Specialist has a strong technical understanding of the various hardware, software and networking systems being supported.

What You Will Do
  • Under general supervision will install, maintain and upgrade workstations and their software and peripherals
  • Respond to telephone or email inquiries and troubleshoot hardware and software problems; provide reliable and responsive service to internal customers; generate and address WO tickets as needed
  • Research and resolve end-user issues and basic technical problems
  • Recognize and escalate more difficult problems
  • Support users by providing technical assistance for hardware/software troubleshooting, including training; address and document all support activities, problems and resolutions
  • Provide reliable and responsive service to internal customers
  • Write/maintain system documentation
  • Maintain hardware/software inventories

Please Apply if You Have
  • Associate's Degree in computer science, information systems or a related field or any combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved required
  • MUST have a basic understanding of Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems including Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10
  • Understand and diagnose network protocols, TCP-IP and network adapter functions in a Microsoft client/server environment
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited or nonexistent standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Investigate, identify and solve problems quickly and efficiently
  • Communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • CompTIA A+ upon hire preferred
  • Microsoft 365: Fundamentals upon hire preferred
