What you'll do...

JOB SUMMARY

Develop and manage a product roadmap. Responsible for developing, planning and managing implementation of activities for complex products and programs with broad scope, high impact and long implementation time frames. Lead both the technology as well as the business change required, while ensuring that day-to-day operations keep functioning flawlessly during the transition. Consult with product sponsors, participants, stakeholders and customers to review product proposals including goals, time frames, and funding limitations. Ensure that product goals are accomplished and in line with business objectives. Responsible for leading a product team of cross functional resources.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned products including the business change. Act as a single point of contact for assigned products.

Outcome driven, aligning product outcomes with business goals.

Deliver products on time and on budget.

Proven ability to execute a product strategy from iterative discovery through delivery.

Consult with product sponsors, participants, stakeholders and customers to review product proposals including goals, time frames, and funding limitations.

Lead continuous discovery processes to refine and iterate product roadmap. This includes regular customer touchpoints.

Facilitate continuous discovery that drives understanding the customer needs, desires, & wants. Facilitate weekly touchpoints with customers and internal teams.

Drive a prioritized product backlog with high quality epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria that are groomed a few sprints out balancing new feature work with debt/enhancement work.

Ensure compliance with corporate product management office, using appropriate product management tools, processes and procedures.

Manage the overall vendor relationship and ensure their delivery is on time and on budget.

Use outstanding influence leadership skills, work closely with other senior leaders to ensure all technology is coordinated for on time delivery.

Will require occasional travel.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in related field or the equivalent through a combination of education and work experience.

Six (6) years of relevant experience.

IT, business, and/or consulting experience.

Product management experience to include experience leading large mission critical products that involve significant business and technology change.

Experience leading teams in a matrix management environment with demonstrated record of establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.

Ability to be an effective leader in a fast-paced pressure environment.

Knowledge of business case development including cost/benefit analysis, NPV, and current and future state assessment.

Advanced oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Strong presentation and facilitation skills necessary to communicate and persuade a wide range of audiences.

Prior product management experience leading product teams of product design and engineering resources.

Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or the equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience.
Work Experience:
  • 5 years Minimum related work experience
  • Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Effective presentation skills to all levels, from peers to senior management senior management.
  • Experience with cost benefit analysis in preparing/reviewing business cases.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage and prioritize work in order to achieve critical deadlines.
  • Superior supervisory and matrix management skills; demonstrated ability to oversee tasks delegated to others.
  • Product management experience to include experience leading large mission critical products that involve significant business and technology change.
  • Formal product management certifications or training, or equivalent
Expertise with product planning tools (ADO, Aha!, Atlassian)
