Position Summary:
This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the maintenance function for assigned campuses to ensure the physical structures, HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and utility systems and grounds are in an operative and safe working condition. Assigns work order tickets and maintains shift schedules to ensure services are delivered on a timely basis. Assists in the requirements for Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies.

Assigns work order tickets and maintains shift schedules to ensure services are delivered on a timely basis. Assists in the requirements for Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies.
Major Responsibilities:
- Supervises staff in preventive maintenance tasks, maintenance repair work, alterations, remodeling, minor construction and the checkout, installation, and servicing of mechanical and electrical equipment and building systems.
- Creates and maintains shift schedules to ensure that adequate coverage is in place.
- Assigns work order tickets for work order tracking and compliance. Ensures tenant requests for maintenance and repair services are addressed promptly and appropriately.
- Maintains effective communication with the customer regarding work schedules and services being delivered.
- Monitors the facilities for potential safety hazards and takes immediate action to correct hazardous conditions and ensure facilities are safe and complies with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Maintains the inventory of all equipment/tools/supplies and ensures the proper condition of all equipment, tools, and materials utilized by the maintenance staff.
- Maintains accurate documentation to fulfill Joint Commission and other regulatory requirements.
License/Certification/Education:
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Additional education or training in building trades
- Current Massachusetts driver’s licens
Experience/Skill:
Required:
- Minimum three (3) years of relevant work experience
- Demonstrated leadership experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Preferred:
- Previous supervisory experience
- Proficiency with computer applications
