Starrett Tru-Stone Technologies is currently seeking a SURFACE GRINDER FOR OUR 2ND SHIFT. We are looking for detail oriented, quality minded candidates to join our team.

Come build precision products using granite and other materials to be used in the semi-conductor and other industries. You will work in our state-of-the-art, climate controlled facility located in Waite Park, Minnesota. We are in close proximity to St. Cloud, Sartell, Sauk Rapids, Clearwater and other central Minnesota cities/towns.

We offer a $3000.00 sign-on bonus for this position. This position come with a $2000.00 sign-on bonus plus and additional $1000.00 for 2nd shift.

2nd shift hours are 1:30 pm to 11:30 pm Monday – Thursday and comes with a 15% shift differential. Must be able to train on 1st shift. Differential starts upon hire.

What will you do in this position?

Set up and run various sized surface grinders. Monitor products on a continuous basis to ensure products are of prescribed quality and meet both Customer and Company expectations, requirements, and standards.

How will you do it?

  • Follow established work procedures, and perform work assignments (as required) to meet all Starrett Tru-Stone safety, quality and production goals.
  • Study instructions, job orders, and blueprints to determine dimensional and finish specifications.
  • Verify/inspect conformance of machined work to specifications using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers and fixed gauges.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Maintain all tools and inspection equipment per established procedures and requirements.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both written and oral.
  • Ability to comprehend technical topics and specialized information.
  • Supports Operational Excellence and other continuous improvement programs as needed.

What do you need to know?

  • Knowledge of machines and tools required to complete the job.
  • Blueprint reading.

What experience/education do you need?

  • High school diploma, trade school or equivalent work history.
  • At least 6 months of manufacturing machining.
