Overview:

Summary:
Under general direction, the System/Application Administrator maintains integrity of the application and associated system environment. Performs application upgrades including planning and scheduling, testing, and coordination. . The System/Application Administrator coordinates disk space planning and management. Maintains growth statistics, space forecasts, tape libraries, and software and hardware inventory. Monitors and maintains continuity with system software licensing and maintenance agreements. Supports media management through internal methods and procedures or through offsite storage and retrieval services. Provides recommendations regarding hardware and system software planning and budgeting. Maintains production change control schedule and participates in change control. Schedules application installations and upgrades and maintains them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures. Implements application enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system. Assigns personnel to various projects, directs their activities, and evaluates their work

Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications:
4+ years professional experience in IT mission critical support, design, construction, operations, maintenance
Troubleshooting and analytical experience with a wide range from Servers and Clusters to Azure and AWS.
Experience clearly communicating technical issues.
Possess presentation, project management, and reporting skills.
Experience with various virtualization platforms including and not limited to VMware, Nutanix, Hyperflex, Azure and AWS.
Experience with Storage platforms NetApp, VSAN, Nutanix, Qumulo and Azure/AWS.
Experience driving complex projects under pressure.
Experience working independently and as a member of a cross functional team.

Other information:
Bachelor s degree in related technical/business area plus 6 years of IT or business experience. 6 years of additional experience can be substituted in lieu of degree. Advanced understanding of PC fundamentals and experience with MS-Windows, and PC office automation products.
