As an IT Technology Support team member, you will help fulfill the promise that Central Insurance makes to our customers by recognizing, understanding, and responding to the needs of our internal and external customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage Incoming inquiries and phone calls from employees, agents, policyholders, and vendors
  • Document issue details with correct urgency & priority and escalate to other team members or teams when appropriate
  • Identify and assess the needs of the customer to provide quality service to all customers
  • Perform standard procedures such as password resets, telephone delegation, and software updates
  • Setup user workstations
  • Ensure Asset information is documented
  • Perform installation of software on computer systems
  • Troubleshoot computer hardware problems and perform break/fix repairs as necessary
  • Provide IT and software assistance to other departments as needed
What your qualifications may look like:
  • Willing to work standard shifts of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM EST or scheduled shifts of 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM EST as needed to support our customers as well as the remote weekend support evenly rotated among the department.
  • Exceptionally strong customer handling, conflict resolution, and problem solving skills; focused on quality of the customer experience.
  • Ability to build rapport with each customer, both internal and external, and actively listens and responds to requests.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally using proper grammar both orally and in writing.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and effectively multi-task to meet required deadlines and work independently.
  • Exercise initiative and judgment while researching and solving customer inquiries.
  • Adaptable to change and ability to focus on continuous improvement.
  • Possess ability to retain instructions, utilize, and create proper reference materials.
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of computer equipment, such as personal computers and printers, as well as knowledge of user applications and data processing procedures.
  • Proficient and experienced with technology.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
