Summit Technologies, Inc. has a potential opportunity for Voice/Data Communications Engineers (Levels I, II and III). In this role you will provide technical direction and engineering knowledge for communications activities. This on-site position is located in Fort Belvoir, VA and requires an active DoD Secret clearance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Install and maintain voice, wireless, video, and data communications systems.
• Coordinate with users to determine requirements.
• Apply fundamental telco and data network installation and maintenance concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments.

Experience Skills:

• Level I require 1-3 years, Level II between 3-5 years, and Level III requires more than 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with network (cable) installation (inside and outside of plant).
• Experience with network (cable) termination and splicing experience (fiber and copper).
• Experience with network (cable) maintenance inspection (inside and outside of plant).

Education:

• Associates degree

Certifications:

• Any of the following certifications are required: DURALINE, CTNS, iNARTE, IPEP, NCTI, RCDD

Security Clearance:

• Active DoD Secret clearance
