THE OPPORTUNITY

Manufacturing careers that offer more: The Primient Waste Water Process Operator role is not your typical factory job. There is some manual labour. But you are not just standing on a line or doing simple repetitive tasks. Each shift is different, with new problems to solve and wide-ranging duties to perform as part of a team. From your first day onwards, you will be learning and mastering key skills – to start on the path to becoming a skilled technician.

Process Operator – the need to know

The individual will be responsible for the operation of the wastewater treatment process, well water and deionized water systems, chemical offloading, Recovery and Fermentation Cooling Tower systems, and the river outfall. As such, they will be responsible for all lockouts, permits, and walk downs for equipment in the area. This operator will be responsible for performing routine qualitative and quantitative analysis related to the operation of the equipment and complying with all food safety, environmental and regulatory requirements. This position will require the operator to assume ownership of the area's GMP tasks and adhere to the facility's quality standards.

  • You will help to ensure the safe operation of our process through a highly automated, state-of-the-art system.

  • We put a strong focus on safety – it is always front of mind.

  • Your role will involve climbing stairs and ladders and working in warm and cold temperatures.

  • Manual labour is not the main part of the job, but you do need to lift and carry up to 55 lbs at times

  • Basic math, reading, and problem-solving skills

Shift system

We operate 24/7/365 with rotating day and night shifts over a 14-day period. The advantage of our scheduling is that your shifts are set in stone, so you can make clear arrangements a year in advance. You never work more than three days in a row, but opportunities for overtime allow you to add to your working window.
