Oscar W. Larson, a 76 year old business, has an immediate opening for a full-time experienced
Apprentice Electrician based out of our Clarkston, MI location. We're looking for the right individual to become a part of our growing team.
Candidate must be enrolled in an accredited Michigan Electrical Apprentice program.
The candidate should have an industrial controls background with heavy emphasis on troubleshooting and diagnostics of motors and motor controls.
The company supplies a vehicle and cell phone.
Key Responsibilities:
The electrical apprentice will install, maintain and trouble shoot multiple types of electrical systems found in commercial and industrial locations and work under a licensed Journeyman.
Follow all required safety protocols while performing electrical work at various commercial and industrial sites incorporating and adhering to OHSA and American Petroleum Institute regulations.
Requirements:
A minimum
of 1 year (2100 hours) of electrical experience required. 3-4 years experience preferred.
Must be able to pass a DOT physical.
Must be enrolled in an accredited apprentice electrician program in the state of Michigan
An excellent driving record is required.
Background check
Minimum Chauffeur’s License
The following tools must be self-provided: Hammer, lineman’s pliers, channel locks (all sizes), multimeter, megger, phase rotation meter, socket sets, screw drivers (all sizes), strippers, nail apron, solenoid-style volt testers.
