Department Overview:

This is a unique opportunity to support the Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) business as a maintenance data/technical publications specialist in the P&W Military Customer Support & Services (MCS&S) organization. Seeking a motivated self-starter to execute the development of APU maintenance data in accordance with mil-spec, ATA 2200 and S1000D industry specifications. Specifically, this includes the development of technical manuals, catalogs, and Service Bulletins (SB) which are used by APU commercial and military air framers/operators and overhaul shops to execute maintenance actions and configuration changes on fielded APUs.

This requires engaging with cross functional groups/value streams within the P&W, P&WC and P&WR/Poland organizations; coordinating with air framers, overhaul shops, operators and suppliers; managing budgets and delivery of APU maintenance data Manage the manual revision process to include: SOW development, vendor management for outsourced work, budget, and project management through publishing of technical data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in IPMTs by providing status reports to the APU Program Office for maintenance data/technical publication deliverables.

• Coordinate support from multiple internal groups to make on-time deliveries of maintenance data/technical publications to internal and external customers.

• Manage databases and systems required for the development and sustainment of APU maintenance data/technical publications.

• Provide training to the various support groups required to develop and sustain APU maintenance data/technical publications.

• Develop and manage maintenance data/technical publications standard work.

• Serve as the primary maintenance data/technical publications point of contact for all internal value stream groups within the APU business.

• 10% travel to customer and suppliers’ sites both foreign and domestic.

Basic Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s Degree in business or technical field and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or a Master's degree in business, or similar field and minimum of 3 years’ experience or In lieu of no degree a minimum of 9 years experience.

• US Citizenship required due to government contracts

Preferred Qualifications:

• A minimum 5 years of demonstrated success in managing projects and engine maintenance/logistic

• A minimum 5 of years’ experience in commercial/military engine technical publications and associated deliverables as it pertains to FAA/EASA regulatory requirements.

• Demonstrated working knowledge with S1000D and ATA Specifications

• Demonstrated adaptability and capability to manage multiple priorities in parallel

• Able to work well in a team environment

• Excellent communication skills (clear and concise in written and verbal communications)

• Proficient in MS Office applications and systems required to work in a virtual (remote) environment (i.e. Zoom, Teams, WebEx, etc.).

• Able to assess and address business needs quickly

• Able to think logically and analytically in a problem-solving environment

• Self-motivated, self-reliant and capable of independent work

• Ability and capacity to gain a thorough knowledge of the relevant specialty area
