Polston Tax Resolution & Accounting was founded in 2001 with the mission of helping people escape the nightmare of owing back taxes. Today, the firm not only services people who owe back taxes to the IRS or state, but also boasts a full-service tax and accounting firm.

What Will You Do

The Audit Analyst will support the Audit Lead, who is representing our clients in front of the IRS and the state in examinations, by reviewing documentation and determining what additional information is required for the audit.

  • communicate with our clients regarding their audit plan
  • manage case flow and organize, review, and prepare documentation
  • maintain audit calendar (adding deadlines, etc.)
  • prepare itemizations, mileage log recreation, in addition to conducting a bank deposit analysis
  • assist with research
  • handle document requests, discuss analyses, etc.
  • provide initial findings, analysis to team
  • draft CP2000 IRS Notices and OIC DATLs, and audit reconsiderations
  • additional duties as assigned

  • outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • excellent organizational skills with the skill to prioritize tasks efficiently
  • capacity to work efficiently on assigned tasks independently or with little supervision
  • the ability to accomplish/complete a task while demonstrating a thoroughconcern for all the areas involved, no matter how small
  • strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a love for math, calculations, and financial analysis
  • capacity to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • coachable mindset and student mentality
  • proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software including Adobe
  • proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s software systems
  • bachelor degree in accounting, preferred
  • tax experience, preferred
