We are looking for an exceptional full-time Controller to join our team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a qualified candidate to oversee all accounting and finance functions, including hiring and supervising additional accounting and clerical staff as the company grows. Responsibilities include:

· Advising and working with management to meet financial goals.

· Collaborating with outside accounting, tax, and legal counsel, banks, and casualty/liability insurance representatives.

· Completing full cycle accounting duties including month-end and year-end close, A/P, A/R, payroll, and treasury.

· Preparing monthly bank reconciliations and monitoring cash balances and cash projections to ensure sufficient cash balances are available to meet expense requirements.

· Interfacing with Project Managers and Superintendents to accurately charge and code invoices to the proper Job Cost.

· Analyzing overall Job Costs with an emphasis on maximizing profit margins and identifying potential issues before they arise.

· Preparing and tracking strategic budgeting and cash forecasts, identifying areas of concern and areas of opportunity.

· Creating and documenting a robust framework for processes and internal controls over accounting, financial reporting, and treasury functions.

· Complying with state, local, and federal reporting requirements and tax filings.

· Reporting and advising on KPIs and WIP Schedules.

· Assisting management with preparation of investment materials for capital raising initiatives.

· Managing the lien resolution process.

· Managing third party provider services for human resources tasks, including healthcare, employee insurance, retirement plans, and payroll.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Education and experience requirements include:

· Bachelor’s Degree, or higher, in Accounting or Finance.

· CPA license preferred.

· Seven to ten years accounting experience within the construction industry.

· Mastery of Job Cost Accounting.

· Mastery of Microsoft Excel, with advanced modeling skills.

· Proficiency in the other MS Office suite programs, QuickBooks, and Procore.

· Experience with payroll management systems.
